About Us:

Jaya Jagannatha ashram has been started in the year 2005. It is located 5 kms from the Vizianagaram town in Andhra Pradesh , India. This ashram is managed by Jaya Jagannatha Trust.
It is situated in a mango garden on a two acre plot, away from the town and villages nearby in a calm and peaceful atmosphere which is very suitable for spiritual practices.

500 hundred years ago Lord chaitanya had predicted “ In every town and village all over the world, the holy names of Lord Krishna shall be chanted”.

To further expand the sankirtan movement started by Lord chaitanya, at Vizianagaram and surrounding areas in Andhra Pradesh, this ashram, registered as a trust, is functioning as a center for Krishna consciousness. (We are not affiliated to any matha or organisation and we have no other branches in India or elsewhere.)

To give men the great opportunity to perform Harinama sankirtana, to distribute Sri Krishna Prasadam to the hungry people hankering for spiritual upliftment and to serve and protect cows, which is the basis of vedic culture are some of the main activities of this ashram.

Since 2005 the activities of the ashram have been improving steadily, the Annadanam seva which began since 2006 has improved gradually and since 2009 about 500 to 700 plates of prasadam are distributed for about 20 days a month in the nearby towns and villages. We could distribute about 7,50,000 plates of prasadam till now in this way.

Harinama sankirtana is regularly conducted at the ashram and also at places where the prasadam is distributed.

Go Seva also is going on at the ashram simultaneously with the above activities, a kind friend of the ashram has constructed a spacious goshala for the comfort of the cows.
At present we have five cows and their calves and some bulls at the ashram goshala .

We are 50 kms away from the city of visakapatnam and well connected by road and there are plenty of trains from all over india which are passing by the vizianagaram railway station.

This railway station is located on the Howrah to Chennai railway line and very accessible from the ashram at any time of the day.

The Airport is located 50 kms away in the Vishakapatnam city.

We are located about 50 kms away from the holy temple of Simhachalam, Abode of Lord Varaha Narasimha and the same distance away from Sri kurma kshetra, The abode of Kurma deva near Srikakulam town.

There is also the temple of Lord Padmanabha and Kunti Madhava temple said to be established by the queen Kunti Devi , during the travels of the pandavas during their exile. It is about 18kms from this ashram.
